WELCOME TO THE APOCALYPSE

In the mid 1940’s-1950’s in Los Angeles and Pasadena; beneath the urbane veneer of cocktail parties and late night salons; a name was uttered in whispers and scandalous news items were printed about him on page 2.

Jack Parsons.

Aleister Crowley believed his methods and aim to be dangerous.

Warlock Samson Debrier was nervous in his presence.

Parsons went further than any practicing sorcerer in Southern California, from 1938 to 1952, in attaining his “true will”.  Parsons also brought our modern world closer to the brink of nuclear annhilation more than

Oppenheimer and Von Braun combined.

By day, Parsons was a chemistry whiz who helped to create JATO’s:                                Jet Assisted Take Off rockets.  His notion of using solid rocket fuel as a lighter and more potent modern form of “Greek fire” was instrumental in giving the US the leg up on winning WWII.

At night, Parsons used his expansive residence at 1003 South Orange Grove Avenue in Pasadena, California, as a haven for bohemians, anarchists, fledgling sci-fi writers, and lascivious partygoers.  Eventually Parsons was inducted into the Ordo Templi Orentis, and his “Parsonage” became the center for many hauntings and occult rituals, and the first modern UFO sighting in the United States.  The viewer of the UFO?  Why the harbinger of the Apocalypse of course.

Marjorie Cameron.  The manifestation of the will of “Babalon” on this earthly plane.
